Cary lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Apex, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's game. The Imps blew past the Cougars 82-56 on Wednesday. The Imps not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since December 5, 2024 (when they won 81-44).

Apex's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Upton, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Rachmuth, who scored ten points.

The victory got Cary back to even at 1-1. As for Apex, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Cary will square off against Athens Drive at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Apex, they will challenge Seaforth at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
