Basketball Game Preview: Bishop LeBlond Eagles vs. West Platte Bluejays

Bishop LeBlond is on a three-game streak of home losses, West Platte a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Monday. It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Bishop LeBlond Eagles challenge the West Platte Bluejays at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Bishop LeBlond is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Sacred Heart on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Bishop LeBlond was dealt a 56-24 defeat at the hands of Sacred Heart. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 57-20, which was the final score in West Platte's tilt against North Platte on Friday.

West Platte's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Bishop LeBlond, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Bishop LeBlond was able to grind out a solid win over West Platte in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 42-35. Will Bishop LeBlond repeat their success, or does West Platte have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
