Soccer Game Preview: Franklin vs. West Henderson

The Franklin Panthers will face off against the West Henderson Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Franklin's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Franklin took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand East Henderson a 1-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, West Henderson made easy work of North Henderson on Monday and carried off a 3-0 win. The result was nothing new for West Henderson, who have now won six matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit North Henderson with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lauren Clonch, Rhylie Druskis, and Reagan Simons.

West Henderson is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 34 goals over those eight games. As for Franklin, their win bumped their record up to 3-6-1.

Franklin suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to West Henderson in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
