Basketball Recap: Tayton Pace's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Summit over Union

If North Summit was riding high fresh off their 75-30 takedown of Rockwell on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The contest between the Braves and the Union Cougars didn't end well, with the Braves falling 72-58. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Braves of the 74-55 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2018.

Several Braves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tayton Pace, who posted 20 points and five boards. Luke Brown was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 11 points and seven rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, North Summit fell to 2-1. As for Union, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, North Summit will head out on the road to square off against Juab at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union, they will face off against Northridge at 3:30 p.m. on December 4.
