Baseball Recap: Southeast Polk Takes a Loss

Southeast Polk's last matchup with Valley could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Monday. The Rams lost 11-1 to the Tigers. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Southeast Polk's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeast Polk will welcome Johnston at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Valley, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Waukee at 7:00 p.m. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
