Basketball Game Preview: Omaha Westside Warriors vs. Lincoln East Spartans + Official Tickets

The Omaha Westside Warriors will head out to square off against the Lincoln East Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Omaha Westside was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to Liberty.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Elise Pederson, who shot 71% from the field on her way to 10 points. Gueryn Kay was another key player, putting up eight points.

Meanwhile, Lincoln East ended up a good deal behind Kearney on Saturday and lost 60-46. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Bearcats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Omaha Westside will have to contain Sadie McCleary as she made an impact in Lincoln East's last game. She went 6-for-13 to rack up 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadie Waegli, who posted nine points.

Omaha Westside's record now sits at 1-1. As for Lincoln East, their record is now 0-2.

Omaha Westside strolled past Lincoln East in their previous matchup back in February by a score of 58-39. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
