Basketball Game Preview: Riverside Chargers vs. Archangels Catholic Defenders

Riverside is 0-10 against Archangels Catholic since December of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Riverside Chargers will face off against the Archangels Catholic Defenders at 7:30 p.m. Riverside will be strutting in after a win while Archangels Catholic will be coming in after a defeat.

Riverside took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They came out on top against Elba by a score of 39-27.

Meanwhile, Archangels Catholic suffered their closest loss since December 21, 2023 on Friday. They fell just short of Clarkson/Leigh by a score of 37-35. The Defenders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Riverside's victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12. As for Archangels Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

Riverside was taken down by Archangels Catholic 59-14 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Riverside was down 46-7.
