Arp had lost three straight, but after bumping their record up to 14-10-1 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the West Rusk Raiders 2-0. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 15-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Zane Bourque made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, earning one run and two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.

As for West Rusk, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season. The shutout was out of character for they seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.

On West Rusk's side, Rhett Jackson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on one hit and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, West Rusk saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxon Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Arp will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raiders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
