Preview: Center Point Pirates vs. Johnson City Eagles
Center Point has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Johnson City Eagles at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Center Point, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-41 loss to Junction.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Johnson City at home against San Saba on Tuesday as the team secured a 69-36 victory.
Johnson City got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aiden Fulton out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. Mccray Jacobs was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Center Point dropped their record down to 2-15 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Johnson City, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 17-8 record this season.
Center Point was dealt a bruising 85-36 defeat at the hands of Johnson City when the teams last played back in January. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Center Point was down 44-11.
