With a playoff win on the line, St. John rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Elizabeth Seton Roadrunners a 4-0 shutout. Considering St. John's have won six contests by more than three goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was St. John's fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those five matches. As for Elizabeth Seton, they now have a losing record of 5-6-2.

Coming up, St. John's is taking a road trip to take on Bishop O'Connell at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop O'Connell have yet to allow a single goal through four matchups this season, a streak St. John's will look to end. Elizabeth Seton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
