Recap: Lee Christian Falcons vs. Crossroads Christian Colts
The Lee Christian Falcons suffered their biggest defeat since December 15, 2023 on Friday. Their rough 86-64 defeat to Crossroads Christian might stick with them for a while. Lee Christian has not had much luck with Crossroads Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the loss, Lee Christian still got an impressive performance from Daniel Rumbold, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and 3 assists. That was a full 46.9% of Lee Christian's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayce Schoolcraft, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Crossroads Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ben Gladieux, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ely Phillips, who scored 18 points.
Lee Christian's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 8-8. As for Crossroads Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.
Lee Christian will take on Kerr-Vance Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Crossroads Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against New Garden Friends at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
