Softball Game Preview: Bruton Panthers vs. York Falcons

Bruton is 0-10 against York since May of 2018 but things could change on Wednesday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Falcons at 4:30 p.m. Bruton has given up an average of 12.7 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bruton came up short against Grafton on Friday, falling 11-1. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly ten runs.

Bruton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Mass, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Mass is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Jamestown hit York with a four-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Falcons fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 7-6.

Kenlee Washington made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs. Karley Estrada was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.

York's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Bruton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Bruton might still be hurting after the 11-4 defeat they got from York in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
