Ontario Christian won the last time they faced Valley Christian and things went their way on Monday too. In a tight game that could have gone either way, the Ontario Christian Knights made off with a 55-54 victory over the Valley Christian Defenders. The win was familiar territory for the Knights who have now won six matchups in a row.

Ontario Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cole Jones, who posted 20 points and seven rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Jones has scored at least a third of Ontario Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cash Marshall, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Ontario Christian has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.1 points per game. As for Valley Christian, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ontario Christian will host Arrowhead Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Ontario Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Arrowhead Christian likes a good challenge. As for Valley Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Maranatha at 7:30 p.m.
