Recap: John Paul II Golden Warrriors vs. Palmetto Christian Academy
The John Paul II Golden Warrriors waltzed into Monday's contest with three straight wins but they left with four. They strolled past Palmetto Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 57-40. That result was just more of the same for these two, as John Paul II also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Brady Mahoney was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds. The match was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayce Graves, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
John Paul II's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Palmetto Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. John Paul II is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Andrew Jackson Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Andrew Jackson Academy is ranked 83rd, while John Paul II is ranked 59th). Palmetto Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Colleton Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th. Colleton Prep Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
