Baseball Recap: Laguna Hills Comes Up Short

Laguna Hills has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.18 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Covina Colts. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nathan Ivey was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 4-for-4. Damian Youngman was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Ivey wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Laguna Hills kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Laguna Hills' record now sits at 7-4. As for Covina, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-5.
