Valley Lutheran has gone a perfect 7-0 against Ithaca recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Chargers will be playing at home against the Yellowjackets at 4:30 p.m. Valley Lutheran will be strutting in after a victory while Ithaca will be coming in after a defeat.

Valley Lutheran headed into their last matchup having not scored more than one goal for four straight, but Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy let them put that streak behind them. The Chargers' defense stepped up to hand the Dragons a 14-0 shutout on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for Valley Lutheran as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Ithaca's offense. They came up short against Ionia on Tuesday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Ithaca can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 405th, while Ionia are ranked 186th).

Ithaca's loss dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for Valley Lutheran, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.

Everything went Valley Lutheran's way against Ithaca in their previous matchup back in April, as Valley Lutheran made off with an 8-0 win. Do the Chargers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Yellowjackets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
