Football Game Preview: Del Oro Suns vs. Golden Valley Bulldogs + How To Watch

Del Oro is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Thursday. After each having a week off, they and the Golden Valley Bulldogs will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m.

Last Friday, Del Oro came up short against Firebaugh and fell 21-14. The Suns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Del Oro didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Ivan Jaime.

Meanwhile, the third road matchup was the charm for Golden Valley, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They walked away with a 40-29 win over McFarland last Friday. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Del Oro better keep an eye on Raymond Valderrama. He was instrumental in Golden Valley's win, rushing for 121 yards and one score.

Golden Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 365 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 182 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Del Oro now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Golden Valley, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Del Oro ended up a good deal behind Golden Valley in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, losing 35-21. Can the Suns avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
