Basketball Recap: Ileeyah Soon's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Centennial over Columbia + How To Watch

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 45-35 to the Columbia Wildcats. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Centennial lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ileeyah Soon, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 15 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Matsushita, who posted six points.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Columbia, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Centennial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 45-34 defeat against Jerome on the 20th. As for Columbia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 55-28 loss against Capital on the 25th.
