Football Game Preview: St. Mark's Lions vs. Groton School

The St. Mark's Lions will take on Groton School at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. St. Mark's will be strutting in after a win while Groton School will be coming in after a loss.

St. Mark's took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 35-7 victory over Brooks. Considering the Lions have won five games by more than 20 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Groton School was beaten by Middlesex 41-12 on Friday.

St. Mark's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. As for Groton School, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Everything came up roses for St. Mark's against Groton School in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 54-14 victory. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will Groton School turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
