Recap: Charlotte Trojans vs. La Pryor Bulldogs
The Charlotte Trojans had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They strolled past La Pryor with points to spare, taking the game 63-44. That's another feather in the cap for Charlotte, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Gabby Mata, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 20 rebounds. Mata is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Evelyn Garcia, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds.
Charlotte's win bumped their record up to 11-15. As for La Pryor, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.
Charlotte will head out on the road to face off against Brackett at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for La Pryor, they will be playing at home against Stacey at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Stacey comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
