Baseball Game Preview: Sudan Hornets vs. Olton Mustangs

The Sudan Hornets will face off against the Olton Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sudan is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Sudan might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-4 to Abernathy, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Caleb Groetken made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Provence, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Olton came up short against New Deal on Tuesday, falling 20-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost six in a row.

Olton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jett Tomsu, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Sudan's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Olton, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10-1.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Sudan has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Olton struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
