Basketball Game Preview: Kalida Wildcats vs. Coldwater Cavaliers

The Kalida Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Coldwater Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Kalida is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Minster on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Kalida came up short against Minster, falling 37-17. Kalida was down 33-11 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Addilyn Huber was Kalida's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Valarie Romes held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Coldwater was able to grind out a solid win over Celina on Tuesday, taking the game 50-40. The victory continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.

Kalida's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Coldwater, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Kalida beat Coldwater 49-36 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
