Softball Recap: Shamokin Area Comes Up Short

Shamokin Area blew Milton out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Milton got their revenge. The Indians fell just short of the Black Panthers by a score of 6-4. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Black Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

NEVAEH LEIBY was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those doubles marked the first that she hit this season.

Shamokin Area's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Milton, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Coincidentally, Shamokin Area and Milton will both be playing Mifflinburg the next time they take the field. The Indians will head out to face the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Black Panthers will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
