Football Recap: Overbrook's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Overbrook can now relate to. They took a hard 35-18 fall against the Delran Bears on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while the Bears are ranked 50th).

Delran had a senior duo take command as Vinny Sacca rushed for 74 yards and two TDs on only eight carries and Justin Mary picked up 93 receiving yards and one score. Mary really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 73 yards.

Overbrook's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4. As for Delran, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Overbrook does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Delran, they will head out to take on West Deptford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears' defense better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 33.6 points per game this season.
