Recap: Bishop Moore Hornets vs. Bolles Bulldogs
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Bishop Moore Hornets, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 34-14 walloping at the hands of the Bulldogs on Friday. Bishop Moore's loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.
Although Bishop Moore took the loss, they still got scores from Gabriel Diaz and Ladainian Sweeney.
Bolles' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was DJ Moore, who threw for 258 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Naeem Burroughs, who picked up 159 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Bolles' defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Bishop Moore's QB won't forget Martin Geary anytime soon given Geary sacked him twice.
Bishop Moore's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Bolles, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Bishop Moore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bolles is on the road again on Friday and play against Norland at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Norland will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
