Volleyball Recap: Highland Baptist Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against V.B. Glencoe Charter on Thursday, Highland Baptist Christian came back down to earth. The Bears fell just short of the Covenant Christian Academy Lions by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bears of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Highland Baptist Christian started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 17-25, 25-19, 25-16, 15-12.

Highland Baptist Christian's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Covenant Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 21-13.

Looking ahead, Highland Baptist Christian will challenge South Terrebonne at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Covenant Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Morgan City at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
