Volleyball Recap: Poplar Bluff Takes a Loss

Poplar Bluff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the St. Vincent Indians.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-16.

St. Vincent got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Callie Schnurbusch out in front who had nine digs and two assists. That's the most assists Schnurbusch has posted since back in October of 2024.

Poplar Bluff's loss dropped their record down to 2-7-1. As for St. Vincent, the victory got them back to even at 5-5-1.

Poplar Bluff wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Valle Catholic on the 13th. As for St. Vincent, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Crystal City on the 16th.
