Basketball Recap: Goodrich Takes a Loss

Goodrich was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 29th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 68-23 defeat at the hands of the Spurger Pirates. That's two games in a row now that the Hornets have lost by exactly 45 points.

Goodrich lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Eliseo Garzon, who posted six points. Sky Wrightson was another key player, putting up seven points.

Goodrich's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Spurger, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goodrich will venture away from home to take on Burkeville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Spurger, they are taking a road trip to square off against Leggett at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
