Football Game Preview: Northside Patriots vs. Griffin Bears + How To Watch

The Northside Patriots are taking a road trip to square off against the Griffin Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Northside turned things around against Mundy's Mill on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 34-12 victory.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alex Tarboro, who rushed for 94 yards and two scores on only 13 carries. Jai Jackson helped out on the ground, rushing for 102 yards.

Meanwhile, Griffin took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 38-7 win over Harris County. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Bears just coasted through the last quarter.

Griffin's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Northside, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-4.

Northside strolled past Griffin when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 33-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
