Volleyball Game Preview: Arlington Admirals vs. Clarkstown South Vikings

The Arlington Admirals are taking a road trip to challenge the Clarkstown South Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Arlington has three straight victories, Clarkstown South has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Wednesday, Arlington beat Red Hook 3-1.

Arlington was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-11, 22-25, 25-14.

Arlington found their leader in freshman Sadie Murphy, who had six digs and two aces.

Arlington was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Clarkstown South didn't have quite enough to beat Wallkill two weeks ago and fell 1-0.

Clarkstown South's loss dropped their record down to 5-10-1. As for Arlington, their win bumped their record up to 20-10-3.

Arlington suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Clarkstown South when the teams last played on October 7th. Can the Admirals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
