Having struggled with seven losses in a row, Columbus East turned things around against Madison on Tuesday. They won by a set and slipped past the Cubs 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Olympians have posted against the Cubs since October 3, 2017.
Columbus East was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-20, 20-25, 25-20, 15-7.
Meanwhile, Roncalli faced Brownsburg in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Royals skirted past the Bulldogs 3-2. The Royals haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Roncalli got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-27, 29-31, 25-22, 17-15.
Roncalli's win bumped their record up to 24-4. As for Columbus East, their victory bumped their record up to 11-17.
