Volleyball Recap: Middletown Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Middletown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Cloverdale Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Saturday.

While Middletown ultimately came up short, they really made Cloverdale work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-7, 25-8.

Carly Johnson paced Middletown's offense, picking up six kills. Johnson got some help from Trinity Galvan and her ten assists. Johnson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Middletown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Cloverdale, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Middletown is set to face off against their familiar foe Kelseyville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cloverdale will square off against rival St. Helena at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
