Basketball Recap: Greenville Comes Up Short

Greenville's tournament run continued when they took on Dexter on Saturday. The Greenville Bears were beaten by the Dexter Bearcats 58-19. That's two games in a row now that the Bears have lost by exactly 39 points.

Greenville's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Dexter, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

Greenville will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Meadow Heights at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Greenville is facing Meadow Heights at the right time seeing as Meadow Heights is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Dexter, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-45 loss against Neelyville on the 23rd.
