Baseball Recap: Union Grove Broncos vs. Catholic Memorial Crusaders
Union Grove gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They skirted past the Catholic Memorial Crusaders 3-2.
Kevin Brau looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Union Grove's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Dominic Pascucci, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Kody Hage also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
The victory got Union Grove back to even at 2-2. As for Catholic Memorial, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
Coming up, Union Grove will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Waterford at 4:30 p.m. As for Catholic Memorial, they will venture away from home to face off against Waukesha South at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
