Basketball Recap: Concord Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Taheer Jackson and Kyzen Coleman + How To Watch

Concord was the 57-56 winner over Mount Pleasant when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spiders fell 74-68 to the Tigers on Thursday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (59), the Spiders still had to take the loss.

Concord's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kyzen Coleman, who went 10-for-17 on his way to 21 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals, and Taheer Jackson, who shot 43% from the field to rack up 18 points along with five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jabari Byrd, who posted ten points and seven rebounds.

Concord's record is now 0-2. As for Mount Pleasant, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Concord will head out on the road to challenge Cox Mill at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mount Pleasant, they will welcome Central Cabarrus at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
