After a string of five wins, Bloomington's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Rim of the World Fighting Scots by a score of 3-2. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fighting Scots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Bloomington sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-20, 27-29, 25-21, 22-25, 15-10.

Bloomington now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Rim of the World, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-1.

Bloomington will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rim of the World at 4:00 p.m. on March 31st. As for Rim of the World, they will challenge San Gorgonio at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Considering San Gorgonio has lost four straight at home and Rim of the World five straight on the road (dating back to last season), this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum.
