Basketball Recap: Berean Christian Takes a Loss

Berean Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Atlantic Christian Sharks and fell 67-32. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 628th, while the Sharks are ranked 133rd).

Atlantic Christian found their leader in sophomore Mike Muscrella, who went 9 for 15 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven steals and six boards. Those seven steals set a new season-high mark for Muscrella. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Poitier, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.

Berean Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Atlantic Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berean Christian will welcome Pine at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Atlantic Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Harvest Community at 7:30 p.m. Atlantic Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.9 points per game this season.
