Baseball Recap: Hoxie Comes Up Short

After flying high against Osceola on Thursday, Hoxie came back down to earth. The Mustangs came up short against the Newport Greyhounds on Thursday, falling 15-1. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Greyhounds: they've now lost seven in a row.

Hoxie's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Newport, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Hoxie nor Newport have any future games scheduled.
