Basketball Recap: West Bend-Mallard Beats Eagle Grove for Their Ninth Straight Win

West Bend-Mallard put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 61-18 blowout they got against the Eagle Grove Eagles. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 31 points or more this season.

West Bend-Mallard's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.4 points. As for Eagle Grove, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Bend-Mallard will head out to square off against Paton-Churdan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eagle Grove, they and North Union will face off at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
