Volleyball Recap: Grace Baptist Christian Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Grace Baptist Christian entered their tilt with Plum Creek Christian Academy on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Explorers with a sharp 3-0 win.

Grace Baptist Christian never let Plum Creek Christian Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-22, 25-11.

Several Explorers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Riona Reed, who had eight digs.

Grace Baptist Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Plum Creek Christian Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Grace Baptist Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Emmanuel Christian at 6:00 p.m. on October 7. As for Plum Creek Christian Academy, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Hebron Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
