Basketball Recap: New Holstein Huskies vs. Chilton Tigers
New Holstein's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 55-47 victory over the Chilton Tigers. Surprisingly, this marked the Huskies' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
New Holstein found their leader in sophomore Owen Birschbach, who shot 61% from the field en route to 25 points along with six boards and four steals. Birschbach is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. James Conrad was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds.
Despite the loss, Chilton still got an impressive performance from Mason Pagel, who went 8-for-12 to rack up 18 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Bennett Geiser, who posted 12 points and five boards.
