Basketball Recap: Nine Straight Home Victories for Freeman

Freeman extended their home winning streak to nine games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Addie Morton. The Freeman Mavericks breezed by the Hermitage Panthers to the tune of 59-29 on Thursday thanks in part to Morton, who posted 20 points. Her evening made it 12 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Freeman has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Hermitage, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Freeman won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Godwin at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hermitage, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll take on J.R. Tucker at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
