Softball Game Preview: Central Tigers vs. Notre Dame Bulldogs

Central is 0-10 against Notre Dame since September of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Tigers will host the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Central has given up an average of 11 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Central came up short against Twin Rivers on Monday, falling 17-3.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame posted their closest win since October 21, 2024 on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Jackson 5-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Kynna Johnson made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Johnson was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Ava Miller was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Notre Dame, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.
