Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Amery

Amery barely beat Baldwin-Woodville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors put the hurt on the Blackhawks with a sharp 14-8 win on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won three contests in a row.

Amery let Michael Morrissey and Levi Thayer run wild. Morrissey went 4-for-5 with two runs and two RBI, while Thayer went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI. Those five RBI gave Thayer a new career-high. Regan Granica was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Amery kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Amery now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Baldwin-Woodville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.

Amery will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Blackhawks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
