Football Recap: Northern Lebanon Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Bryan Mitzel and Brady Ryan

The matchup between Northern Lebanon and Donegal on Friday hardly resembled the 14-12 effort from their previous meeting. The Vikings came up short against the Indians, falling 44-22. The Vikings just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Northern Lebanon's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Brady Ryan, who gained 155 total yards and two touchdowns, and Bryan Mitzel, who threw for 158 yards and two TDs. Ryan also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing two fumbles and making seven total tackles.

Leelan Baughman was nothing short of spectacular for Donegal: he rushed for 231 yards while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Baughman is now averaging an impressive 110.6 rushing yards per game.

Northern Lebanon's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Donegal, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3.
