Softball Game Preview: Hannah-Pamplico Raiders vs. Latta Vikings

For the second straight game, Hannah-Pamplico will face off against Latta. The Raiders will take on the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Hannah-Pamplico took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Latta 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted since March 20th.

Kadence Poston spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Meredith Stone was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Hannah-Pamplico moved to 10-6 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Latta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.
