Recap: Trinity Christian Crusaders vs. Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers
Even though the Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers scored an imposing 76 points on Tuesday, the Trinity Christian Crusaders still came out on top. Trinity Christian sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 79-76 win over the Lancers. That's another feather in the cap for Trinity Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Will George was his usual excellent self, scoring 40 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Anthony Frank-woji, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
When it comes to explaining why Central Fellowship Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Trey Bradley. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 36 points and 13 rebounds. Bradley is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last 11 games he's played. Judson Walls was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Trinity Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-6.
Trinity Christian will take on the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bible Baptist Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 16 matchups -- so hopefully the Crusaders likes a good challenge. As for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against the Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Windsor Academy: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while the Lancers have snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
