The Mt. Hope Huskies will take on the Pilgrim Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Hope is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season.

Mt. Hope is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Smithfield, who was ranked 21st at the time (Mt. Hope was ranked fifth). The Huskies' defense stepped up to hand the Sentinels a 2-0 shutout on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for Mt. Hope in their matchups with Smithfield: they've now won four in a row.

Thea Jackson was the driving force of Mt. Hope's attack as she scored both of Mt. Hope's goals, bringing her season total up to 25 goals.

Meanwhile, Pilgrim was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Chariho, falling 4-0.

Pilgrim's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17-1. As for Mt. Hope, their win bumped their record up to 10-5-2.
