Baseball Recap: Wellington Takes a Loss

Wellington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-4 to the Roosevelt Roughriders.

Nate Blehm was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. Wellington is 2-1 when Blehm posts three or more RBI, but 1-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Moore, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Wellington's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Roosevelt, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

While Wellington had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
