Basketball Recap: Marquette Manor Baptist Academy's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

Marquette Manor Baptist Academy entered their matchup against City Baptist School on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Marquette Manor Baptist Academy Minutemen fell 42-29 to the City Baptist School Overcomers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Minutemen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 36-35 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Marquette Manor Baptist Academy still got an impressive performance from Zack Csorba, who posted 22 points. Csorba's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

City Baptist School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Abel Medran led the charge by going 7 of 11 en route to 15 points. Israel Diaz was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Marquette Manor Baptist Academy's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-5. As for City Baptist School, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marquette Manor Baptist Academy has already played their next contest (against HomeSchool Resource Center), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. City Baptist School will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Bible Baptist on January 30th.
